The Seven Chakras
In this episode, Anne Corbin explores the connection between mind, body, and spirit, discussing the impact of distractions on work quality. She delves into the concept of Chakras, their interconnections, and the importance of grounding and Earth energy. A detailed examination of the seven Chakras concludes the episode.
Key Points
- Recalling a game Anne played at school called ‘broken telephone’, two teams are employed and one child thought of a simple sentence involving two or three instructions. Player A whispered the sentence into the ear of player B. Player B was distracted by the teacher for a short time then whispered the sentence to player C and so on. If the player forgets the sentence they lose and join the distracting team.
- This demonstrates how the different chakras communicate with each other, in line. However, it does not happen smoothly, as in the game, when there are countless distractions getting in the way. The causes are limiting beliefs and subconscious interference ;. ‘Blockages’.
- Our root chakra is there to connect us with earth energy. The seventh chakra is the connection to the divine. Energy needs to flow from the top to the bottom and vice versa. Each chakra has a specific purpose, moving upwards : Muladhara, the root chakra, red. Svadisthana, the sacral chakra, orange. Manipura, solar plexus chakra, yellow. Anahata, heart chakra, green. Vissudha, throat chakra, blue. Ajna, third eye chakra, indigo. Sahasrara, the crown chakra, violet.
Anne explains how your Chakras flow to one another and communicate, the nature of ‘blockages’. She details each of the seven chakras, their function and nature and what affect any dysfunction can have on your life.
BEST MOMENTS
‘The point of the game would be to demonstrate that gossiping was not a great idea, you shouldn’t trust rumours, and that allowing yourself to be distracted would affect the quality of your work.’
‘That’s why we refer to these things as ‘blockages’. They block what’s meant to be a superhighway of communication.’
‘People in the west only began discussing them (chakras) as the new age philosophies gained popularity and that would have been starting around 1970, following on from the hippy movement.’
